View this email in your browser Happy New Year!   2021 proved to be challenging in many ways but was also very fruitful! We continued to do ministry in Chiapas and supported different projects throughout the year. We believe that 2022 will be even more significant as we continue to expand the Kingdom of God. We have included a few serving opportunities below and our 2021 recap! Work Trip: January 31 - February 5, 2022 The dormitory facilities in Chenalhó are in need of maintenance (minor repairs such as plumbing, electrical, painting, etc.) Join us for this work trip in Chenalhó to help get the dormitories ready for our future teams! Men's Church Build: February 21-26, 2022 Men, join us for a church build in the mountains of Chiapas. We have a few spots open on this construction trip and we need your help to fill them! What better to start off 2022! The cost of this trip is $275 per person, plus airfare. Specific flight details will be given after signing up for the trip. Please let Kari Payne know if you are interested in joining one of these teams. Email Kari We Built Four New Homes! In 2020, over 200 families were evicted from their homes just two days before Christmas. Some of these families are members of Torre Fuerte Church, the local church we work with. This past year, we were able to build them new homes near the previous location of their homes. These church members hold a bible study for children each week in the same houses we built. Praise God for the ministry that is happening through these homes! We Donated Water Filtration Systems! We were able to give away water filtration systems to people in need back in April. Many people in Mexico lack access to clean drinking water, especially in indigenous communities. This was a very practical way to bless our friends in Chiapas! We Hosted More Families at Casa de Esperanza! This past year, we continued to host Lidia and her family at Casa de Esperanza, along with a few other women and their children. These families continue to grow in their faith and find restoration in Jesus Christ. In August, we provided a new computer and desk for Casa de Esperanza to help with virtual schooling. We are excited to continue supporting this ministry in 2022 and bringing hope to families in need! We Opened a New Kitchen in Chenalhó! The church in Chenalhó began expanding last year by adding a new kitchen. This kitchen will serve hundreds, if not thousands of people, especially during the biannual convention. In December, we were able to participate in the dedication of this building and celebrate all that God is going to do through it. We Continued to Support Casa Hogar Alegre! In addition to our annual Christmas trip to bless the children of Casa Hogar Alegre with new clothes, shoes, and Christmas gifts, we were able to financially support them by donating toward the boy's bathroom remodel. We are so thankful to partner with such a fantastic organization that serves children from all over Chiapas. We Built Three New Churches! Despite the circumstances of last year, we were able to build three new churches in communities surrounding Chenalhó! Our first team arrived in October, marking 20 months since our last team was on the ground. We are excited to continue building churches in 2022 and helping local pastors bring the gospel to their communities.
